Pip Edwards
Pip Edwards is a professional actor, filmmaker, acting/career coach, and entrepreneur.
As an actor, Pip’s television credits include Home & Away, Les Norton, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, ANZAC Girls, Wonderland and Forever Young. Her film credits include Carmen, Death Doula, June Again, A Few Less Men, Little Black Dress, Who’s That Boy, upcoming feature, as well as numerous short films, web-series and TVCs. Theatre credits include Beverly in Abigail’s Party, and Regina in Ghosts (both with The Melbourne Theatre Company).
Pip has taught extensively throughout Australia, at schools such as NIDA, Actors Centre Australia, Screenwise, Sydney Actor’s School, Sydney Film School, Screenwise, HUB Studio, Stagemilk, Metroscreen and for MEAA Actor’s Equity to name a few. She specialises in screen acting, screen craft and terminology, auditions and showreels, directing actors (for directors) and filmmaking for actors.
Pip runs a private coaching studio Pip Edwards Creative, where she coaches and mentors actors for auditions, screen-tests, business/career/mindset coaching, as well as ‘on set’ coaching. Through her studio, she has coached and filmed numerous actors towards booking roles in Australian and American Film and Television, as well as booking roles in professional theatre, drama school monologues, and in career advancement and mindset. Pip has a Bachelor of Dramatic Arts from NIDA, Bachelor of Creative Arts (Philosophy/Filmmaking/Arts Management/Law) from Melbourne University, as well as Certificates in Micro-business, Mental Health, and Training & Assessment. She has completed further extensive training in both Australia and the US, including with coaches such as Ivana Chubbuck, Larry Moss, Margie Haber, Leslie Kahn and at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles.
Pip has written, directed and produced her own micro-budget short films, and collaborated as a on numerous indie short films and web-series (including Kasey Baker’s viral short Stay Home, Stay Safe and the award-winning web-series Everybody Hates Me). Pip has a passion for indie storytelling, both the collaborative process and potential to push the boundaries of comedy!
Pip has a keen interest in actor mental health and wellness, and is co-chair of the MEAA Actor’s Equity Wellness Collective.
